Dr. Basile is proud to be your Crystal Lake Dentist. Our offices strive to provide you with personal attention and professional care.
Here at Dr. Basile’s office, we believe that caring for your teeth and smile is one of the most important factors in promoting overall good health, and that is why our patients come first.
Early detection to minimize disease progression is mandatory. This is achieved through comprehensive and periodic dental examinations, intraoral digital photography, prudent use of full mouth and limited series digital dental radiographs, and both Diagnodent laser fluorescence and Carivu transillumination decay detection devices which are radiation free.
Treatment services include routine dental cleaning and polishing, non-surgical scaling and root planing, dental sealants to protect vulnerable surfaces, fluoride varnish application for both children and adults, custom made athletic mouth guards, and customized home care therapy and guidance.
We place a high priority on achieving highly esthetic and functional results for your needs, from simple bonded tooth colored fillings to more complex crowns, implants, and dentures. Intraoral digital photography allows us to customize the shade and appearance of your final dental treatment. Utilizing dental laboratories which focus on unique and individual results helps us to provide accurate and personalized care.
Optimum results begin with thorough evaluation and planning. We provide the restorative services for all applications of implant dentistry; from esthetic single tooth crowns to full arch implant supported replacements. We work within a team of surgical specialists and dental lab technicians who provide an optimum level of skill and training for your needs.
Dr. Basile has studied at three highly respected dental learning centers focused on occlusion (bite relationships) and bite related therapy, The Pankey Institute, Dawson Dental Seminars, and The Spear Institute. He maintains his proficiency as a member of the American Equilibration Society, where the annual meeting features world renowned lecturers presenting current research findings to an international audience.
Current therapies in occlusion involve multidisciplinary diagnosis and non-invasive treatment, including bite guard use, trial treatment mockups, selective adjusting of bite interferences, and definitive treatment involving restoring and/or referral for physical therapy and minor tooth movement.
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. That’s because dentures make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth—things that people often take for granted.
When you lose all of your teeth, facial muscles can sag, making you look older. Dentures can help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that your appearance does not change much. Dentures may even improve the look of your smile.
Protecting your teeth from things like bruxism (teeth grinding) or sports is a vital measure to take in order to prevent tooth injury and loss. Dr. Basile helps you with custom night guards or athletic guards in order to fully protect your smile!
